Breaking up is hard to do? Not anymore. One time American idol winner and country music superstar Carrie Underwood has eliminated "Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford from her life with a simple text message. Reports surfaced earlier this month that the pair had split and now Carrie has confirmed it.

How hard was it? Carrie tells nightly entertainment media news program "Extra' that the relationship had run its course and the split was mutual and it was as simple as a text message that said, "Peace Out!"

The pair had grown apart because they are both so busy. Carrie has been on tour with country music legend Keith Urban and Chace has been busy with his schedule for his television show and they just didn't have enough time for one another.

There have also been all kinds of reports of Chace's extra curricular activities without Carrie while he is in Los Angeles, though none of that was mentioned for the reason for the split. Underwood also notes that they have not spoken to each other since the text that ended the relationship.
