Remember all of those Rihanna and Chris Brown reports that said the two were dating and were an item? If they ever really went away well now "They're back!" Perhaps the Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon whirlwind romance has all of Hollywood feeling like Springtime is the time for romance. Is that the case with the sexy Chris Brown and Rihanna? Could be.

In the middle of all of the furor over the dating reports earlier this year Rihanna told MTV, "We are best friends, honestly, like brother and sister. I won't say that we're just friends - me and Chris are really best, best friends." She went on to say that they are like family and that's the kind of love they have for each other. And she wasn't talking about Angelina Jolie and her brother type of love, she was trying to get things to calm down a bit.

Now is it more for Rihanna and Chris Brown? The speculation hit a fever pitch over the nature of their relationship after they were photographed frolicking in a Jamaican swimming pool together in the early part of 2007 and the pair have spent countless interviews since trying to explain the "just friends" mantra using several different phrases.

Now In Touch Weekly is reporting that Rihanna may have moved it up just a tad. It's not much but it is as as close to a confession she's going to give (for now). Singer Rihanna has finally admitted that something more than friendship is brewing between her and R&B heartthrob Chris Brown. "We've always been friends," she revealed in Elle's June issue, "but we're very close now."
