Kobe Bryant should have been distracted, but the Los Angeles Lakers star was able to put reports that he has had some sort of a sexual affair with Lakers Girl Vanessa Curry. The report comes from a website called The Dirty.Com and has brought threats of a lawsuit from the Kobe Bryant legal team.

But none of the controversy has affected Bryant on the court where his Lakers defeated Gregg Popovich and the San Antonio Spurs 100-92 on Thursday night and Kobe Bryant was on fire and if he is worried about the scandal he certainly didn't show it.

Bryant scored 39 points Thursday and 17 of those came in the fourth quarter. That means the San Antonio Spurs will not be defending their crown this season, they will be home watching Kobe Bryant and the Lakers from the couch. The Lakers will face either the Detroit Pistons or the Boston Celtics and either series will make the NBA very happy as the television rating s might have a chance this season.
