Many celebrities and animal lovers have taken it all off for PETA in a fight against fur and other causes. Alicia Silverstone stripped down for a vegetarian PETA PSA and Eva Mendes has stripped down bare as well.  But PETA is more than just about fighting fur coats and promoting a vegetarian lifestyle, they have a cause against puppy mills and in an online video, actress Charlize Theron narrates a good clip that shows the problems with the industry.

There are plenty of dogs available for adoption that have been abandoned at local shelters and the main focus by Ms. Theron is to get the point across that not only should those dogs be taken care of by loving families first, but that puppy mills are more about profit than about care for the animals.

Puppy purchases shouldn't be spur of the moment decisions at the local mall just because the "dog in the window" looks adorable (and let's face it they are really cute) but it should be a well thought out process that looks to getting a pet and a companion that comes from a need for both people and pets.  Don't worry, pound puppies are just as adorable and as an added bonus you save them as well.

It's a very well done spot and though it might not get the attention that some of the ads that show gorgeous Hollywood women in the buff it's worth a look, especially of you are looking to get a puppy soon.  The clip is here at the PETA website and blog.
