Was sexy tennis star Anna Kournikova ever really married to Enrique Iglesias? Was Anna Kournikova really ever a tennis star? While sports fans debate that second question the man that should know Enrique Iglesias, is certain that he was once married to the blonde tennis player. At least that is the report of his story.

A report from RTE Entertainment notes that singer Enrique Iglesias has said that he was secretly married to tennis star Anna Kournikova. According to the Daily Star, the 33-year-old singer said: "Oh I'm not married, no. I mean I was married. I was married, seriously."

"I was married a year ago to Anna and I don't know what happened. We're not married anymore but we are kind of still in contact." That seems clear as mud. It appears the score is Marriage 1 and Divorce 1 if he is telling the truth. Many appear skeptical.

Shannon Owens of the Orlando Sentinel isn't buying it and writes, "Iglesias has consistently jived the media for most of the couple's five-year relationship so there's not an ounce of credibility to his words. He pulled the same stunt last March and People Magazine reported the foil. My guess is this is another publicity stunt since no one really cares about either of their careers right now." Ouch!
