There are some early reviews rolling in for the most anticipated film of the summer.  The early Dark Knight reviews are mostly good and though the project is ambitious it certainly will deliver stunning box office numbers.  The Dark Knight will be the first film released with actor Heath Ledger since his tragic passing and that assures it the top spot at the box office.

But is the movie any good?  The hype for this thing will be placed on overdrive.  I loved the first Christian Bale film "Batman Begins" even with he fabulous Katie Holmes mucking it up a bit.  This time, the dark Knight will be a can't miss.

IMDb has this, "Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker."

Cinema Blend has quite a few of the Early Dark Knight Reviews here and all are positive and they determine that movie reviewers are in full hyperbole mode for the film.  It probably deserves it and I can't help but see multiple Oscar nominations.
