The pregnant man has given birth. Thomas Beatie (aka the pregnant man) caused quite a stir when he first burst on the scene and announced that he was pregnant and a man.  he got a Oprah gig out of the proclamation along with a ton of press and a lot of controversy.  Now he gets his reward with the birth of his child making news all across the television dial, but the timing isn't great as Christie Brinkley, Alex Rodriguez and Madonna are eating away all of the headlines.

Jo Ann Way explains the situation.  "Thomas Beatie is a transgender male and he is reportedly twenty-two weeks pregnant. Thomas still has a vagina, but he's legally a male, so that means he would be a pregnant man, at least in some minds.  He shares his life with his legal wife, Nancy. Thomas earlier gave a first person account to the Advocate on how he came to be pregnant with a baby girl.

Continuing:  "He had his sex change ten years ago and at the time had his breasts removed so of course there will be no breast-feeding of the baby.  Many people are curious, shocked and some are outraged but it seems a bit much to even care."

Thomas – born Tracy Lagondino  said he and his wife are legally married because Beatie is legally a man. They plan to provide a happy home for their baby girl. "Love makes a family and that's all that matters," he said.
