Pam Anderson's PETA-backed demonstration against Kentucky Fried Chicken in Australii has caused a huge controversy in the land down under. Pam, who is reportedly being paid $500,000 USD to appear on the Australian show "Big Brother," took a break from taping the program to stage a protest against KFC's reported cruelty to animals.

Of course, what's Pam without the controversy, as the buxom blonde bombshell has refused to comment on the fact that "Big Brother" can afford to pay her enormous salary because the show is sponsored for big money by KFC itself!  Wow. That's really fowl. OK, sorry for that one.

Protesters from PETA, which stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals were outnumbered by a crowd of at least 100 fans and media outside the Gold Coast store looking on as the circus unfolded.  Pam was escorted inside to hand-deliver a personal letter addressed to Albert Baladi, managing director of KFC's parent company in Australia.

"They're boiling chickens alive, cutting off their beaks, they're just being extremely abusive," Anderson said. "Everyone needs to get with the times and become more humane."  Meanwhile, what's the deal with Pammie and Tommy Lee?

While Tommy recently told Rolling Stone magazine that the two were back together and living under the same roof, Pam was seen all over magic man Criss Angel during her birthday party in Las Vegas right before her jaunt to Australia.  While in Australia, Pam was quoted as saying "(Tommy and I) are great friends, we are a package deal that's for sure. I am spending a lot of time with him this summer and he's on tour actually. We enjoy spending time together."

She continued,  "It's just one of those things. He is the father of your kids and you can't get rid of them!" Especially if you're living in the same house. That makes it much harder!  See more photos here of Pam posing at a press conference in Australia.
