Antonio Sabato Jr. is the frontrunner to win in tonight's (7/16) finale of "Celebrity Circus" after getting a perfect 10 for his performance last week on the NBC reality show. Stacey Dash and Jason "Wee Man" Acuna are left as well. The actor got his high marks for his oh-so-sexy routine on the Flying Silks, but says he's come to love all the circus routines he's learned. "It's like a different bicycle with different colors and different springs and stuff. You want to try them all."

Meanwhile, Sabato reprises his former "General Hospital" character Jagger Cates on SoapNet's "General Hospital: Night Shift," which returns for its second season next Tuesday (7/22). Sabato says his character will return to the fictional town of Port Charles as an FBI agent with a 5-year-old autistic son. But alas, no wife. Not for long, though, says Sabato, who last played Cates on "General Hospital" some 13 years ago. "He's going to fall in love with someone," tips Sabato, adding that someone could be another popular alumnus of daytime "GH." "There's the possibility of bringing back Brenda Barrett, played by Vanessa Marcil. If she goes back to 'General Hospital,' there's a chance that maybe Jagger will meet her there."
"General Hospital: Night Shift," airs Tuesdays at 11 p.m., follows the nightly goings on at "GH," and Sabato says it was like coming home again. "It was so welcoming … everybody is still there, and they missed me … And the fans wanted this character to come back more than anyone else I've done."
FROM SEA TO SHINING SEA: With a guest list including Ted Danson, Diane Keaton, Anne Heche, Alicia Silverstone, Jeff Goldblum, Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy and Amber Valletta, no wonder Friday night's (7/18) SeaChange Summer Party honoring Harrison Ford, Sam Waterston and sustainability expert John Picard is being described as one of Orange County, Calif.'s Must Do social events of the season. But you'd better believe, beyond the glitz and the chance to schmooze with Indiana Jones and Jack McCoy at Laguna Beach's tony Cahill Estate, there's a serious undertone -- especially with President Bush lifting the executive ban on offshore drilling put into effect by his father.
"We're finding a lot of new important allies in a part of Southern California we haven't had the opportunity to outreach yet," reports producer/manager Keith Addis, vice chair of the board of Oceana, the event's beneficiary. He and his friend and client, Danson, were active in the successful fight to end pollution-causing drilling off the California coast two decades ago -- when memories were fresh here of a 35-mile stretch of fish and animal-killing slimy seepage from a faulty rig.
Ford is obviously a big draw, and "has a well-established commitment to environmental issues," Addis points out. "He's on the Conservation International Board of Directors, he donated 389 acres of his Wyoming property to the Jackson Hole Land Trust ... an incredible resume."
Addis adds, "Potentially terrifying things are happening under the water, and the public needs to understand that climate change and ocean issues are inextricably joined ... People know that we are at the crisis level red zone in these issues, but at the same time it's unbelievably urgent, it's unbelievably rewarding and exciting to be doing something about them."
AAAAUUGH!!: VH1 and Lions Gate are partnering on a forthcoming reality show having to do with Hollywood Scream Queens, and casting notices has gone out for actresses to take part. They have to be between 25-35 years of age and to have made a name in horror flicks. Hm. We didn't realize there were that many scream queens.
