The preparations are on for Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi and the wedding of the year. Unless Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer make some quick plans or Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally get hitched the celebrity wedding season is all about Ellen and her long time girlfriend Portia de Rossi. A report from Star magazine notes that preparations are also on for after the wedding and the adorable pair are going to live in style with Brangelna like security.

A report from the magazine this week claims that Ellen DeGeneres is on a "buying spree along Beverly Hills' Cabrillo Drive," and the report claims that she has spent about $40 million on three adjacent mansions.

The plan, according to the magazine, is to have the street sealed off and the three mansions will be used as a compound. I'm certain there is a really good joke in there somewhere but for now I'll take a pass. Do Ellen and Portia get hassled or are they just looking for some ultr privacy?

"Ellen is obsessed with security," a source says. "She wants to gate the street so that she and Portia can live in total privacy."
