"Heroes" superstar Hayden Panettiere had to stop her mother from selling her underwear on the internet. The 18 year old blonde bombshell has been raising money for Save the Whales by auctioning her old clothes on website Panettiere's Closet. But Hayden says her mother almost went a wee bit too far trying to raise money for the wonderful cause.

"I lived with my family a long time so you acquire a lot of stuff with nowhere to put it so I tend to throw stuff out," Hayden told reporters, "That's whenI decided to put it on the website. Mom pulls out some embarrassing stuff I used to wear. I'm like, 'Just don't pull out the underwear!'"

Hayden recently moved into her own home, which she had spent several months decorating. The television star said "I bought a house. I spent my summer setting up my new house and buying furniture. It's a good size. It's contemporary. It's a space that doesn't need a lot of clutter in it, so it's pretty simple."

She added, "My best friend from home, from New York, is actually moving in with me for a year. So it's not like I'm living in this house, partying by myself."

Hayden, who admits that she's planning on throwing some parties at the house, says "I have this big living room and I have this 14ft by 14ft couch. I fill pretty much the whole room with it and it's kind of the hangout spot. It's comfy and people can make a mess in the room."

But as long as Mom doesn't sell her underwear, things will be pretty much status quo for the Hollywood blogs' fave. Lots of Hayden photos.
