Did John Edwards cheat on his wife Elizabeth Edwards with Reille Hunter? The answer is an easy yes as John Edwards has finally admitted that he stepped out on his wife Elizabeth with a blonde woman that has been identified as Reille Hunter. Hunter once worked for the Edwards campaign and received a big income and that has some making all sorts of accusations of payoffs.

There is also a baby involved as Reille Hunter has a very young daughter. The baby has been described as the "John Edwards love child" in the National Enquirer. That weekly magazine broke the story and they were a lone voice chiming on the story for many weeks. They had a wild altercation in the middle of the night at the Beverly Hills Hotel where reporters from the magazine cornered Edwards.

That led to what sounds like a bit of slapstick as John Edwards then reportedly ran away from the reporters and hid out in a bathroom of the hotel while reporters from the magazine say they were outside the bathroom door beating on it and shouting questions about Rielle Hunter and the alleged love child. Edwards finally had security help him escape the tough questions but on Friday he finally came clean, though he s still claiming that the little baby isn't his.

Despite all of the reports that originated with the Enquirer no big media source would touch the story and none chased down what was an obvious affair. John Edwards is scheduled to appear on the ABC show "Nightline" on Friday and try to explain the whole sordid affair with Rielle Edwards and answer why he lied about it for so long. And as bad as many of us feel for Elizabeth Edwards - according to John she has known for some time and that means she lied about the affair as well.
