Is it Guantanamo Bay in Denver at the Democratic National Convention?  Officials had constructed a secret jail to house those that would misbehave in the Mile High City next week when the Democrats crash the Colorado town for their convention.  Is this a smart move by the city and how much trouble can we expect out of the Democrats and the protesters when they all finally show up?

Many are now mocking the democrats as they have led the charge to have Guantanamo Bay closed in Cuba and many in the party have been highly critical of the Bush Administration for not shutting down the high security prison that houses what the Administration believes are enemies of the state.

You won't have to do anything to serious to get shoved into "Guantanamo Bay on the Platte" or local Denver media is dubbing "Gitmo on the Platte" as the warehouse that has been made into a jail complete with razor wire and chain link is just feet from the South Platte River.  Once the "secret site' was discovered officials made their denials.

According to 9 News in Denver (photos and video here) Undersheriff Bill Lovingier, the city's director of corrections, said the idea it was secret is ridiculous.  "This was never a secret site," he said.  Few are buying that.
