It is attack time for the media on Sarah Palin and Cindy McCain's fashion. While earlier attacks against Palin have backfired and made her even more popular with Americans will attacks against Cindy McCain's fashion be a winner for the press that is so desperate to get the Obama campaign back on track?

First let's look at the attack on Cindy McCain. Monday's New York Post slammed the wife of John McCain claiming that she wore "nearly $300,000 in jewelry and high-end duds" when she was at the republican national Convention. It appears to be the re-has of an earlier attack from Vanity Fair on the value Cindy McCain's jewels and clothes.

But none were as bad as the CNN report that claimed that Sarah Palin had posed in a bikini with what is called an "AK-47." Lola Ogunnaike some entertainment reporter for the network must have been the recipient of one of the Palin smears through e-mail and is not bright enough to learn to spot a hoax.

According to Gawker CNN's "Reliable Sources" (obviously a poorly named show) wasn't so reliable and Lola Ogunnaike blew it when she said this, "She looks good in a bikini clutching an AK-47, but is she equipped to run the country?"

Ugh! The photo in question is here and is side by side with the photoshopped picture and it is obviously not Sarah Palin and just so Lola Ogunnaike knows, that's not an AK-47 either.
