Jennifer Aniston has found the perfect cure for a bad breakup with John Mayer. For Jennifer Aniston it is throwing herself back into work. The 39-year-old actress met with director Woody Allen, and she'll make a guest appearance on the sitcom 30 Rock this season.

Jen dined with Woody and his wife, Soon Yi, at Madeo in LA in late August. "They seemed pretty focused," a witness tells Life & Style Weekly, "like they were discussing a project." On Aug. 28, Jen was on the set of 30 Rock filming her cameo. "She's playing a paranoid version of herself in an episode that the show's creator, Tina Few, wrote herself," says a Jen insider. "She's excited to return to TV!"

She could use a good laugh these days, too. "Jen sees this as an opportunity to cheer herself up," adds the insider. "When things aren't going well in her personal life, she tends to plunge herself into her work."

"Because of the way things ended with John, there's an urgency on Jen's part to get the other aspects of her life moving," says an insider. "Woody and Jen got on like old friends" at their Aug. 26 meeting, says an onlooker.
