Jeff Foxworthy is creating an animated pilot for Fox about a dysfunctional family living a NASCAR life.  Foxworthy already a big hit on the network as he hosts Fox's game show "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?"  On another score for Foxworthy, Twentieth Television is also planning 5th Grader as a first-run daytime syndicated show.

The untitled animated comedy comes from Foxworthy and "10 Items or Less" executive producers Nancy Hower and John Lehr.  Foxworthy, Hower and Lehr will write and executive produce, while Parallel Entertainment's J.P. Williams will also executive produce.

Access Atlanta reports that Fox is seeking a new generation of animated shows as its lineup has aged e.g. “King of the Hill” has been on 13 seasons. Foxworthy will provide his voice to the animated show. He has done voices before in film such as “Racing Stripes” and “The Fox and the Hound 2.”

Will a Jeff Foxworthy animated feature work?  Most though the game show "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?" would fail and certainly it is a hit.
