Jessica Simpson and Zach Braff were spotted flirting and canoodling earlier this month at Hamptons hotspot 'Pink Elephant' while also hanging "innocently" at Manhattan's Bungalow 8, published reports claimed.

Now Star is reporting that the unlikely couple has switched coasts and speculation that the two are dating is again heating back up.

The magazine reports that Jessica was spotted strolling along "a trendy Santa Monica street, checking out doggie products with an adoring male companion."
The lucky guy at her side? Scrubs star Zach Braff.
“They were holding hands and laughing ,” a source says of the duo. “It was definitely a date!” For the record Star says the source believes that, Jess has not adapted well to single life.
“She feels like marriage was so much easier,’ a source tells the weekly magazine.

Tina Sims asked in early July, "Is this the summer fling Jessica needs to get over Nick?"
According to a Simpson source cited by Us Weekly at the time it was not likely to happen. "Jessica doesn't like Zach," the insider tells the weekly magazine.
A rep for Braff said at the time that the pair are "friends."

But now that they have been spotted on both coasts flirting and on this alleged "date," expect the reports of a Zach-Jessica late summer fling to ramp up.
