Debra Messing has a dream role in The Starter Wife (Friday on the USA network at 10 p.m.) - literally! "Every episode, my character, Molly, has a fantasy that takes place in a famous movie scene - it's always the happiest day for me," she explains. It might be a pretty happy day for viewers as well as Debra confesses that she gets a nice lift from her Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider fantasy.

Upcoming sequences will have Debra in Sharon Stone's infamous interrogation scene in Basic Instinct and donning Angelina Jolie's action hero outfit in a spoof of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. "I was pretty spectacular, I've got to say, Debra jokes. "With the black suit, I was endowed in a way I was normally not - and it was fantastic!"

Brenda Davis had this earlier on the show, "(Messing) couldn't resist 'The Starter Wife,' the 2007 USA Network mini-series about Hollywood divorcee forced to revamp her life. An Emmy nod later, Messing, 40, has returned to reprise her role in the now-weekly drama.

The show is fun and a good Friday escape. It's a bit of a change from the mini-series but once you get caught up it starts working its way along quite well.
