Guns N' Roses brings "Chinese Democracy" to fans and with that we all get a fee Dr. Pepper. Tim Korgan notes that even the New York Times has an opinion. "In the long, long-ago era (like, seven months ago) when the release of the Guns N’ Roses album "Chinese Democracy" seemed as likely as the publication of a new novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Dr Pepper announced — just possibly in pursuit of free publicity — that it would provide a free soda to everyone in America if the record came out, Dave Itzkoff writes.

With their new album debut online on MySpace soft drink maker Dr. Pepper is making good on its promise of free soda now that the release of Guns N' Roses' "Chinese Democracy" is a reality.
