So where were the stars on New Year's Eve?  According to a report from People Magazine they were scattered all over kicking the year 2008 off the wall and ringing in 2009 with some hope.  Fergie (Stacy Ann Ferguson of the Black Eyed peas) was in Sin City, while in New York, where the temps were frigid, Taylor Swift and the Jonas Brothers appeared live from Times Square.  Mario Lopez hosted at the spot a few subway stops from 42nd Street.

Las Vegas got Fergie into the mix.  Fergie had taped a segment for Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, and performed at the Palazzo's bash as hunky fiance Josh Duhamel looked on.  In Miamai, as if Adam Levine's poolside performance wasn't enough, the hotel boasted a second soiree at LIV nightclub, hosted by Diddy.  Sip Ciroc martinis with edible gold and keep an eye out for Chace Crawford.

More sightings include Lindsay Lohan as she hosted the SoBe Life Water party, while Samantha Ronson deejays.  At Pure - Ashlee SImpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz left baby Bronx at home to host the countdown and watch the fireworks over the Strip, the magazine reports.

The Bank's - Usher will pop bottles of his won on Dec. 31, despite his wife just giving birth to their second child.  In Los Angeles at Beso - Eva Longoria Parker rang in 2009 at her restaurant while "I kissed a Girl' singer Katy Perry hosted the  Gridlock party in Hollywood.
