Twilight is still raking in big bucks at the box office, but the real drama is taking place behind the scenes of the sequel New Moon, which has an expanded $50 million budget and is set to start filming in March, according to reports.   The Twilight in and out is incredible drama and some claim that both young stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will have bigger roles.

That makes sense as both Robert and Kristen create buzz wherever they go and a report from Life & Style claims that Summit Entertainment has announced The Golden Compass director Chris Weitz will replace director Catherine Hardwicke at the helm of New Moon, the movie based on the second of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling vampire novels.

"When I say Twilight, I was alternately entranced and left hungry for more," Chris said in a statement.  "My job is to live up to that devotion." Life & Style adds in the article this week that it has "learned that one of the actors may be replaced as well:  Taylor Lautner, 16 who plays the minor role of Jacob Black in Twilight.  In New Moon, Jacob, becomes the leading man.

"They've looked at other people," a set insider says.  Michael Copon, the 26 year old actor from Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior, is reportedly up for consideration.

Of course, Robert Pattinson will be in the sequel - a lot.  "they want to find a way to give Robert a bigger role than the book calls for without making major changes to the story line," says the insider.  "They're going to have their hands full."
