Anna Kournikova has said she has a wrist injury and is done for the tennis season and that announcement comes right after a Page Six item from the New York Post that described what sounds like a cat fight in Las Vegas.  The shapely blonde Russian tennis player Kournikova suffered "cuts and bruises to her neck during an altercation in a bar," the paper claimed.

A Gawker headline made this call, "Never Throw Your Drink at Anna Kournikova."  That may be good advice.  Allegedly, a patron threw some drink at Kournikova and that's when the fighting started.  The New York Post story on the alleged cat fight cited a witness that claimed Anna Kournikova "sprung into action" and got the best of it.

There is some bad news for Anna on the court, she will miss the rest of the season with a wrist injury.  The News-Leader from Springfield, Missouri (hometown of Brad Pitt) notes she will miss that city's competition and reports, "Kournikova, the biggest name scheduled to play in Springfield as part of the 2009 World TeamTennis season, will not play due to a wrist injury."  She will make the trip, but she won't play.

Fanhouse has lots of photos of the tennis pro here and some speculation on the supposed fight in Sin City.  How can there not be cell phone video of this?  If you are ever the 'spy-witness' pull out a camera, a video or pics would certainly make the story worth more.
