Rosie O'Donnell Show or The View?

Rosie O'Donnell made her debut on the ABC morning gabfest 'The View' on Tuesday as scheduled.  Rosie dominated the show and shockingly some are surprised.  O'Donnell has always been thought of as over-bearing by many TV watchers and in a recent Gallup poll had terrible ratings.

She's just not popular among the masses.

According to Gallup Rosie is viewed unfavorably by 65 percent of people polled by Gallup who have an opinion of her.  Ugly numbers.

So - she was a wallflower on Monday - right?  Hardly.  The loud bombastic host dominated the show and one can expect that to continue.   New York Post columnist Linda Staci (apparently not one of the 65% that believe Rosie is terrible on TV) offered Rosie praise and then writes the obvious.

Rosie began her new gig as the fourth musketeer on "The View" yesterday - and the view from here was all Rosie, all the time… Rosie (dominated) every conversation, becoming, overbearing and clearly forgetting that this wasn't her show alone.

The rest of the crew seemed to be subdued, including the normally loudest and funniest member, Behar - while Walters looked like she was having trouble keeping her mouth open for so long without being able to get a word in.

On the "Hot Topics" segment, Rosie brought up Andre Agassi's weepy farewell, although the others clearly wanted to get off the topic.

I was done with 'The View' long before Rosie.  But I can't imagine her bringing in more viewers than she forces to change the channel.
