The Dubliner Magazine was ripped by US golfer Tiger Woods for publishing pictures of a topless woman and claming that they were of Tiger Woods' wife Elin Nordegren.

The gorgeous model had her name drug through the mud by the magazine and a photo of a naked woman that was identified as Nordegren was not her.

The photograph purporting to be of Woods's wife Elin appears in the September issue of the listings magazine. Under the headline "Ryder Cup filth for Ireland" is a picture of a topless woman.  But it is not Elin.

Wood let loose and ripped the magazine.

"My wife, yes, she has been a model prior, and she did do some bikini photos," Woods said. "But to link her to porn Web sites and such is unacceptable, and I do not accept that at all. Neither does our team."

Woods added: "It is hard not to get emotional about this."My wife is an extension of me. We are in it together, we do things as a team and I care about her with all my heart."

The Dubliner magazine wrote this in its September issue about Elin Nordegren, his Swedish wife of nearly two years.

"Most American golfers are married to women who cannot keep their clothes on in public," the magazine wrote. "Is it too much to ask that they leave them at home for the Ryder Cup? Consider the evidence. Tiger Woods' wife can be found in a variety of sweaty poses on porn sites."

Josh Hart reported on Tuesday that there's more America bashing in the piece.

The article continues: "Most American golfers are married to women who cannot keep their clothes on in public. Is it too much to ask that they leave them at home for the Ryder Cup?

Woods insisted that he would not let the episode distract from his enjoyment of Ireland and was at pains to express his gratitude for the "gracious" behavior of fans from Ireland and the rest of Europe.
