Shanna Moakler and Paris Hilton have both made allegations of battery stemming from an early Wednesday nightclub confrontation in Los Angeles.  And now Shanna Moakler is speaking out.  "I absolutely didn't Punch Paris," the model told Extra.

"I was assaulted and I put all the details in the police report for the authorities to handle properly."

E! Online reports that another witness to the altercation, 'Dancing with the Stars' pro Cheryl Burke, has also spoken out in defense of the former contestant.

"Well, all I know is Shanna did not punch Paris in the face...not even close," she told E! News. "Shanna's not that type of person at all."   Burke went on to say that she also witnessed Niarchos push Shanna down the stairs and pour a drink over her head.

"It was totally shocking to me...I would say 15-20 people saw this," she said.

For her part, Paris claims that Shanna, the estranged wife of Blink 182 rocker Travis Barker, walked up to her at Hyde nightclub, "used the most vile language", then hit her in the jaw.

Paris' PR Elliot Mintz insists his client's story is the true version.

Elliot says: "(Shanna) shouted a barrage of obscenities and attacked her.

"She (Paris) called me right afterwards and told me that she did not need to go to the hospital, but that she would file a police report.

"I can't say for certain why this happened, but Shanna is known to be upset by rumors that Paris is dating Travis Barker.

"Those rumors are not true. They are not dating."

Moakler's publicist, Susan Madore, slugs right back (metaphorically of course and also disputed the claim from Hilton's camp that the incident was a one-sided attack, claiming that both women were exchanging obscenities and confirming that, mid-argument, Hilton's ex Stavros Niarchos intervened, bending Moakler's wrists, pouring a drink on her and shoving her down stairs.

Backing up Moakler's account was another Hyde patron, who told People that at around 1:30 a.m., "you could hear a collective gasp around the place--Stavros had an empty cocktail glass in his hand and Shanna was standing there wet."

Sources told The New York Daily News that Moakler and Hilton had actually started bickering Friday night in Las Vegas at the nightclub Tao, though they did not come to blows then.

It should be an interesting weekend out in Los Angeles.
