Gerald Ford has again been admitted to a hospital, this time for a "testing and evaluation." The statement issued from his Colorado office says "No further releases or updates are anticipated prior to early next week."
"He is doing well. Updates will be provided at a later date," Mr. Ford's spokeswoman Penny Circle said. She did not say when Ford was admitted to the hospital or offer further details on the tests.
Circle said earlier in the week that Ford would not be available to meet with U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who had been in Rancho Mirage while campaigning Wednesday for U.S. Rep. Mary Bono, R-Calif.

Ford, 93 - who underwent heart surgery in August - has been in hospital at least three times already this year.
Ford became the nation's oldest living former president after the death of Ronald Reagan in 2004.
