Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are still not officially a couple though they have reportedly been spotted together on several occasions.

People Magazine documented the pair together in Mid-October at a breakfast at A Votre Santé, an organic restaurant in the Brentwood neighborhood of L.A. The next day, Wilson was seen playing catch with Hudson's 2-year-old son Ryder on the front lawn of her Pacific Palisades home.

So how is this going over with Kate's famous family?

Life & Style Weekly has a report that the jury is still out. The magazine notes in this week's edition that Goldie Hawn, 60, is having difficulty welcoming Owen, 37, into her close-knit family.

In fact, according to the report in the magazine she’s been trying to persuade Kate, 27, to reconcile with estranged husband Chris Robinson, says the insider.

And without Goldie’s stamp of approval, the friend says, “there’s no way things are going to work out in the long run, no matter how Kate and Owen feel about each other. He has a lot of work to do." But Kate’s holding out hope.

The friend adds though that it took Chris a long time to win over Goldie, so there's always hope for Wilson.
