It just goes to show that marrying three times is no prevention for a splitup. After having two ceremonies in late July and early August, Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock announced today that they were ending their four month marriage.

Pam's relationships have been rocky to say the least: her on and off marriage to rocker Tommy Lee, whom she had known for 96 hours before the wedding, made headlines for years as they filed for divorce and reconciled twice. She has had similar and very public difficulties with her commitment to her breast implants (she is on her second set after removing the first set and changing her mind).
Pam and Kid Rock became engaged in 2002 and broke up a year later, and then this summer made a surprise announcement that they were to wed in July of 2006. There was much speculation that the marriage was motivated by Pam's pregnancy but this was not clarified until Pam suffered a miscarriage in early November.
We can learn a great deal about relationships from looking at the astrological charts of both individuals involved. Pam is a Cancer, and family is of utmost important to her. She has two children with Tommy Lee and on her blog she bemoaned her inability to "let go of my family picture." Her blog makes no mention of the miscarriage which occurred on November 10, but evidently on November 12 her chihuahua dog went missing. That is a lot of trauma for one person in a short period of time. Pam's Cancer Sun is squared by Saturn, the planet that brings tests and disappointments in order to build strength of character. This is a difficult placement that often isn't integrated until later in life, and in early life there is a deep sense of isolation and loneliness.
Pam's Venus is in Leo, showing a flair for drama in her relationships and a need for a partner with whom she can have fun. Venus, however, makes a square (a difficult aspect) to Neptune, the planet of dreams and illusion. This indicates that although she is very romantic and creative, she can often get lost in fantasies (Neptune) of her own making - particularly in relationships (Venus). Her Moon, showing her emotional needs, is in Aries, sign of the Warrior. Despite her fluffy exterior (Gemini is rising which often brings an appearance of superficiality), she has a strong determination to get her own way.
Pam has another difficult planetary combination in her chart: her Aries Moon, Cancer Mercury and Libra Mars are in what's called a "T-square" formation, revealing a problematic tendency to become angry and argumentative (Mars) in discussions (Mercury) and that her mind (Mercury) is in conflict with her feelings (Moon). Her Libra Mars seeks harmony but in this system it tends to create disruption instead of facing problems head-on. Because Pam is not able to moderate her emotions (Mars/Moon) she has a tendency to act impulsively and make decisions quickly, often under the overidealized influence of her Venus/Neptune described above.
Pam and Kid had little in common astrologically. His Libra Moon is opposite her Aries Moon, showing a disharmony in their emotional natures. His Sagittarius Venus is in harmony with her Leo Venus - both are fiery and express themselves with grand gestures. They enjoy being together and have a great deal of fun.
The placement of Mars shows one's sexuality, and Pam's Mars is square to Kid's Sun with his Mars square to her Venus. Squares create tension, so there is a great deal of sexual tension between them but this is not the kind of sexual compatibility that can go the distance. Ultimately the irritation is too much for them to handle and it is probable that this erupted into squabbling over the smallest things.
With the Moon/Mars/Mercury system in Pam's chart she is unable to deal with this kind of stress. Currently, Saturn is making a difficult transit to Pam's Venus, forcing her to wake up to the realities of her situation. Saturn is the Celestial Taskmaster, it tests us with disappointments and brings us face to face with our illusions and self-deceptions. This is a long-term cycle that will carry her into next summer. It's not an easy cycle, but it's one that ultimately bears great rewards if we do the required work on ourselves to break free of the patterns that have kept us in bondage.
