Once it was announced that Britney Spears was set to pull out of the Billboard Music Awards that were broadcast last night, many believed that she was having trouble with Paris Hilton. Britney wasn't talking so it was left to speculation.

The just a few days later Paris Hilton announced that she was gone from the awards show as well. Hilton fessed up and said she was uncomfortable with slamming her pals with jokes on national television.
She didn't reveal the jokes or exactly who they were aimed at.

The show poked a bit of fun at Paris last night, and also took a slight poke at Kevin Federline. The speculation from AOL Entertainment's TMZ.Com is that perhaps the toxic twins both bailed for the Federline joke.
The web site has the video of the gag and describes it this way.
Though her reps aren't talking, last night's show featured a major rip on the Fed-Ex. Before a commercial break, an announcer said there'd be a special performance by Federline. The announcement was followed by a film clip of hundreds of horrified screaming teens running from a theater.

Good enough for an awards show joke but TMZ reminds us that the last time Britney Spears appeared on national television, at the American Music Awards, she was allegedly very upset when her entrance was preceded by a sketch aimed at K-Fed.
She was furious at the K-Fed slam on that night according to reports and the newly separated mom was in reportedly tears.
Did Billboard have a pantyless joke for Britney and pass on it? Or was it the K-Fed humor?
