Jessica Simpson Gets a Christmas Save from Ashlee

Jessica Simpson will spend her second Christmas without her one-time hubby Nick Lachey, but the buxom blonde will reportedly have her sister Ashlee by her side.   The two sisters had planned a girl's trip to Hawaii for a sunny Hawaiian Christmas in bikinis, according to a report from In Touch Weekly.  However, the gals are now spending Christmas in Telluride, Colorado the report states.

And it appears that Ashlee has definitely giver her sis a Christmastime save.  An insider tells the weekly entertainment magazine that earlier this month, Jess had the blues while working on 'Blonde Ambition' in Shreveport, Louisiana and Ashlee flew down to cheer her up.

"She didn't leave her trailer for two days," one on-set insider revealed to the magazine.

Jessica is still reportedly down in the dumps over her disastrous performance of the Dolly Parton diddy 'Nine to Five' at the Kennedy Center.  In the tribute set up to honor Dolly, Jessica flubbed the words to the song and reportedly fled the stage in tears.

She was given a second chance at the song for the televised version of the tribute but now has pulled out on that as well.

AP reports that after Simpson saw a tape, she requested the second attempt be pulled from the show, which airs Dec. 26 on CBS.

"She really wasn't happy with her performance and she did want it to be perfect for Dolly, who she idolizes," said Cindi Berger, a spokeswoman for Simpson.
