American Idol Battle: Jewel vs. Paula Abdul?

Is there anyone that isn't ready to go at it with American idol judge Paula Abdul?  She has taken heat for her odd behavior on a Seattle television station and now a published report claims that even the lovely and talented Jewel and Paula were not getting along well during Jewel's stint as a judge while idol blew through Minneapolis.

An exclusive report from the Post Chronicle details that things were particular icy between the women as they listened to the idol wannabes.

The report details:  If the two women spoke to each other it was brief.  An icy wall seemed to separate them. Reports are that the two didn't get along and even exchanged some words.  At one point were told, Abdul even removed her mike and slammed it down because she was upset with Jewel. It never made it to the taped version shown last night.

If you watch at the end, Paula completely ignores Jewel on the way out and Jewel's face says it all. Simon kissed everyone on the out, even Randy. It was brutally obvious that Paula was not happy with Jewel presence.

Yikes, a bit of a catfight may have been brewing.  But it will likely be sort lived as Paula is on the 30 million plus per night American idol circuit while tPC points out that the three-time Grammy nominee is a host on USA Network's Nashville Star. 

While Paula will be cutting up with Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson - Joining Jewel for the record-breaking fifth season is season four co-host Cowboy Troy.
