Is there anyone that is not about to replace Paula Abdul on American idol?   First rock star Courtney Love alleged that she had received a call and was set to join the panel of judges that take on the duty of American idol each week.  That really didn't pan out.  Now a former 'Go-Go' is tossing her cleavage into the mix.

According to a report from gossip Jeanette Walls it nearly happened about two years ago and she asks, 'Was Paula Abdul almost replaced on “American Idol” by a former member of the Go-Gos?'

According to the report, The lead singer from the 1980s girl group says she was approached about it. “As far as ‘American Idol’ goes, I was actually approached a couple of years ago about possibly replacing Paula Abdul,” Belinda Carlisle told PlanetOut.com.

“But to answer your question [as to whether she’d want to be a judge on the show], I really don’t know. To be perfectly honest, it’s just not my thing. I’d rather listen to music that comes from a more organic place. But you know, I just ... don’t know if I would or not.” Okay then.

Carlisle also recently confessed that she wanted more male groupies when she was in The Go-Gos.   She told Seven magazine: "We did everything male rockers did, and more - except for the sex. I have to say, we always wanted to have male groupies, but we scared them off."
