While the world waits and speculates on the exact reason why Anna Nicole Smith, 39, perished suddenly last week, her mother Virgie Arthur is blaming Howard K. Stern directly.  According to a report set for this week by In Touch Weekly, Virgie, a former Texas police officer, claims Howard had a hand in both Anna Nicole's death and that of and her son, Daniel, in September. "It's obvious - these two people were killed," Virgie Arthur tells In Touch exclusively. "He gave Daniel the drugs, and he gave Anna the drugs, and that's that," she says.

Whoa- those are some very serious allegations, but the mom seems determined to get Anna's baby, Dannielynn Hope, away from Smith's lawyer and live in love at the time of her death Howard K Stern.

According to the report, But Anna Nicole's former publicist David Granoff believes that the only thing that Howard is guilty of is not getting help for Anna Nicole sooner. He tells In Touch he thinks Howard "used poor judgment" in not insisting that she talk to a therapist about her depression following Daniel's death.

"After Daniel died, nothing mattered anymore," another friend, David Giancola, director of her last film, Illegal Aliens, says. "Ultimately, she died of a broken heart."

Howard's sister, Bonnie Stern, adds that Howard would never have done anything to hurt Anna Nicole or Daniel. "My brother is shattered. He was like a father to Daniel," she insists. "For anyone to suggest is just wrong and hurtful. He loved Anna Nicole so much."
