Michelle Manhart, a US Air Force drill sergeant, has been demoted for posing nude for Playboy magazine. The sexy enlisted soldier who appeared in a six-page spread in the February issue, has been dropped from staff sergeant to senior airman.
Ms. Manhart appeared in the pictorial in a range of poses, some in uniform and striking a military pose, others while completely nude.

In January, Ms Manhart was suspended from duties while an investigation into the incident was carried out.. Mitch Marconi of the Post Chronicle muses that the presence of an attractive drill sergeant could be a great motivator and recruitment tool for the armed services, especially since many soldiers appear to have a predilection for displaying images of lightly clad women.
But he reports that is not how the Air Force sees things: "This staff sergeant's alleged action does not meet the high standards we expect of our airmen, nor does it comply with the Air Force's core values of integrity, service before self, and excellence in all we do," Oscar Balladares, spokesman for Lackland Air Force Base, said in a statement.

Manhart said that she was reverted to her Air National Guard status and that she submitted a "resignation" to the Guard, which she said is pending. She wants to get into acting or modeling.
