Speculation and reports from the entertainment media had already reported that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had a disagreement as to whether the couple should attend the Academy Awards on Sunday night. The buzz was that Angelina didn't want to go, while Brad wanted to attend. If those were true, it appears that Angie won out as they were not there. But skeptics may have another reason to consider and it has to with one of Jennifer Aniston's BFF. It appears that once the lady showed up in new Orleans to visit Brad, Jolie was off the continent. Literally. She is now in Africa.

A report from AOL Celebrity website TMZ.Com has an item that notes that Brad Pitt's mom and dad were in New Orleans this weekend. The Pitts, Jane and Bill are reportedly visiting the grandchildren and Brad in the Big Easy.

Depending on the week, reports always surface that there is friction between Jane and Angelina. Jane and Jen remian close, and reportedly still talk all the time. And nearly as soon as it was reported that the Pitts had made the trip from their home in the Bible Belt in Southern Missouri to New Orleans, Angelina was off to Africa. Jolie is expected to stay there for a few days, Trevor Neilson, Jolie's political adviser, told People magazine in an earlier interview.
It seemed odd that she wouldn't support her husband Brad and attend the Academy Awards, opting instead for what sounds like nothing more than a PR trip to Africa. So did she bail to skip the Oscars or did she leave because Jen's BFF and Brad's mom Jane was in town?
