Finally we get confirmation from someone from American idol on the sex scandal that has heated up the Internet involving sexy 20-year old singer Antonella Barba. While blogs investigate which photos of the New jersey native are really her, a statement comes down from American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe. The idol head honcho spoke with 'Extra' in a segment that was broadcast on Tuesday and he told the syndicated television show he's not kicking the Jersey girl off, her fate is in the voters' hands," Extra co-host Mark McGrath reported during the syndicated entertainment news program's Tuesday evening broadcast.

Best friend Amanda Coluccio, who auditioned with the beauty, told “Extra” that some of the more salacious photos aren’t even Antonella. Let's get real. As talented as she is, Antonella Barba is not going to win American idol and she will be very fortunate if this controversy buys her another week or two. The other girls are extremely talented and she cannot win the overall competition. But, with this high wired scandal, she is the one American idol contestant with name recognition.
