The Amanda Knox murder trial in Italy is entering its final stages, with closing arguments beginning November 20. Disputed evidence is at the center of the case, along with prosecutors that may have over-estimated their "slam-dunk" case, according to a detailed analysis from CNN News.

The victim in the case is Meredith Kercher and she was killed in the college town of Perugia, Italy. The crime was "high profile" and immediately Knox and her Italian boyfriend, Rafaele Sollecito were accused of killing Meredith during a "drug-fueled sex game."

The two sides are digging in for the final arguments. Prosecutors have detailed all the evidence they believe will be needed to convict Knox (the case is now two years old) but the Knox team believes the evidence is tainted.
The defense is arguing that prosecutors were so focused on Knox and her boyfriend that they lost sight of the case and didn't look for any other evidence or clues. In other words, defense lawyers argue they jumped to the conclusion that Knox and Sollecito were guilty and then worked the case backwards.
