Is Kate Hudson A-Rod's Good Luck Charm? Alex Rodriguez has opened the World Series against the Philadelphia Phillies at a woeful 0-8 (with six strikeouts) and People Magazine has "the many faces of the New York Yankees number one fan here. The series is ties 1-1. More pop, Hollywood actress Jessica Simpson (pictured) has revealed her dream man would be somebody "spiritual" and someone who would 'inspire her'.

The 29-year-old, who was once married to singer Nick Lachey and split from boyfriend Tony Romo in July, spoke about her dream man. She said: "I definitely love a spiritual man - somebody who is going to always inspire me. I don't want to get bored. I can bore out pretty easily, so I love intellectual men... people that will always keep me intrigued."

She added: "And, you know, I love artistic men - somebody that really understands their art." Simpson has recently returned from a trip to India where she filmed new VH1 show The Price Of Beauty.

Talking about the trip, she said: "I couldn't have had this journey at a better time in my life - to seek out beauty, to seek out confidence, and to seek out the power of a woman."
