Black Friday 2012 - Coupons and Deals and the iPad Mini

By Staff
Oct 24, 2012
Apple prices and Black Friday.

Black Friday 2012 is Friday, November 23 this year and many shoppers already have the date circled on their calendars as they eye deals this month.

With the introduction of the iPad mini this week (along with several other Apple products including new iMacs and a two new 13-inch Macbook Pro with Retina Display laptops) many are wondering what kind of deals on Apple products might be available come Black Friday 2012.

Mac products are rarely discounted by much, even for Black Friday, but Lindsay Sakraida of Dealnews speculates that discounts might be available for the iPad 2 this year.

An article titled "Why I'm Skipping The iPad Mini And Waiting Till Black Friday" predicts a price of under three hundred dollars for the iPad 2 this Christmas shopping season.

"We've already seen the iPad 2 drop to $299 once this summer, and we're predicting that at least one vendor will do the same around Black Friday," the item predicts.

More speculation on prices here.

More Black Friday notes for this shopping season, expect more competition from fellow shoppers, predictions say more people will be in stores and online for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Consumer Affairs reveals:

"Accenture's annual consumer holiday shopping study finds that 53 percent of consumers surveyed said they expected to shop the day after Thanksgiving."

But not all will be in stores, the survey also noted:

"52 percent said they would be content to spend Black Friday shopping online if they could find the kinds of deals they expect to find in brick and mortar stores. Of course, if they just wait three days for "Cyber Monday" they would find that online retailers do, in fact, offer large discounts on that shopping day."

Will you use Black Friday prices as past of your shopping strategy for the holiday season?
