Blake Lively's style rules really think outside of the box.

The sexy US actress is a newlywed (she just got hitched to hunky Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds) and her main style rule - don't wear ''boxy'' clothes.

With Blake's figure, that's good self-help advice.

The 'Gossip Girl' actress says she has to be careful with what she wears as she knows some style of clothes don't suit her.

She said: ''I've got curves, so I avoid anything boxy. If it grabs at the chest and hips and is loose in the middle, I look like a big square. I see people that are really long and then and they look beautiful in this style, but on me it's a big no. I like to wear things that nip in at the waist fr a more feminine vibe.''

Blake also revealed how singer Florence Welch is her style icon because she makes such big fashion choices.

The 25-year-old beauty told Britain's Marie Claire magazine: ''I'm currently obsessing over the style of Florence Welch. She's pure magic. I always admire people who make really string choices. When you do something bold, it's usually because you feel really good in yourself.''
