Fired for Premarital Sex? (Video)
Fired for premarital sex?
A woman in San Diego says she was fired for having premarital sex and even though she signed a contract stating she would abstain from "sexually immoral behavior including premarital sex, adultery, pornography and homosexuality," she can't understand why she lost her job.
She has hired attorney Gloria Allred to sue a California school that allegedly fired her for having sex with her boyfriend.
She is also pregnant.
29-year old Teri James told the NBC Today Show that she did sign a two-page contract with San Diego Christian College that included the provision, but she was stunned when she lost her job.
"I needed a job in this economy and so I never thought that anything would happen," James explained to "Today."
James, who had worked at the college as a financial aid specialist for two years, signed the letter in August, weeks before she became pregnant.
She is currently six-and-a-half months pregnant with a boy, due in June.
Another odd note from the story - her boyfriend was reportedly offered a job at the school after she was fired.
Watch a video below for more information - Allred says the contract is not specific enough and doesn't say she will be fired for breaking the rules set forth in the contract.
