Kelly Clarkson claims in Texas, "we practically come out of the womb in jeans".

Kelly Clarkson is a fan of the natural look.

The original 'American Idol' winner - who has been dating Brandon Blackstock, since 2011 - claims to be extremely low-maintenance when she's off-duty and says she lives in practically no make-up, jeans and a T-shirt.

Kelly told Lucky magazine: ''I put on the Hank Williams and the Patsy Cline and the Rosemary Clooney on vinyl - I'm not trying to be some cool indie-rock person, I just love the way it sounds - and throw on a T-shirt and jeans. In Texas, we practically come out of the womb in jeans.

''I'm just a really normal girl. I just blow-dry my hair and put on mascara and lip gloss, and I'm ready to go. I really don't get long nails. They're so Edward Scissorhands.''

The 'Dark Side' singer lists her only beauty must-have as YSL lipgloss which she is ''obsessed'' with.

Kelly, 30, doesn't have a long list of favorite designers, but admits she has fallen in love with Herve Leger bandage dresses, enthusing: ''They're like built-in Spanx.''
