Valet Ticket Calls Woman Fat - Worker's Description Upsets Actress
A written note on a valet ticket described a woman as being fat and she found it on the seat of her car when she went to pick it up.
Sharon Peoples is an actress in Boca Raton, Fla. and was acting in a play when the incident happened and she so upset about it, she called the company (LAZ Parking) and complained.
One of the valet parking workers wrote on the valet ticket and identified Peoples as the woman in the "play" wearing a "red dress."
See the above photo.
To make sure the woman was correctly identified, the valet added the word "fat" to describe Peoples.
She was furious.
"It’s only words and it’s from some kid, and that’s one of the things the guy said to me on the phone. He said, ‘You know, we employ 18- and 20-year-old kids.’ I said, ‘Sir, they’re legally adults.'"
She complained so loudly, they finally gave her free valet parking for a year.
They also issued an apology.
"We deeply regret this incident and the company has apologized to the customer and the employee has been disciplined … LAZ Parking continues to be committed to providing the best customer experience possible."
Should the company have apologized?
