Black Friday is only hours away and the ads are being scoured by shoppers. But many won't wait as impatient shoppers ask, 'what stores are open for Thanksgiving and what are the sales?' K-Mart and Amazon.Com are popular outlets for turkey day shoppers.

Shoppers Seek Bargains on Black Friday and Thanksgiving Day

Others plot strategy for the day once thought to be the day that put retailers into "the black" for the year by pushing the books to positive territory.

If you just can't wait, this year, K-Mart is open for a Thanksgiving day sale from 7 am - 9 pm. Bargains galore are promised from the retailer. Jess Snow has more here on the K-Mart add along with some Black Friday advertised specials from other retailers Wal-Mart & Best Buy.


The New York Times newspaper has scoured the ads and they believe they have found some of the best bargains. In an item dubbed "Black Friday Deals for Gadgets, Gear," the paper notes several chain stores and reveals their best deals.

Included are Home Depot, Sears and Target along with Macy's and Kohl's. There is no Amazon.com mention, but they have options now for shopping with this tag, "You shouldn't have to stand in a long line to get a great deal.

Continuing, "We're searching for the best Black Friday deals everywhere--including deals other stores are planning--so we can meet or beat their prices and bring them to you even earlier. These limited-supply offers will go quickly, but we'll add new ones throughout the day, every day this week, so you can skip the long lines and still save a bundle." Good luck shoppers.
