He claims he is brain dead no more. David Mamet pens an election-season essay aptly titled, "Why I Am No Longer a 'Brain-Dead Liberal'". Ah, the election year switch. Does that mean he will be snuggling up to American conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh sometime soon? Both are crossing over quite well.

Rush has spent lots of time on his show of late asking his listeners and voters in some states that hold open primaries to blow off their Republican primaries and move over and vote for Hillary Clinton to keep Barack Obama from running away with the nomination.


Many believe that Limbaugh's call to arms might have helped in Texas where Hillary Clinton pulled off a stunning upset over Barack Obama on what everyone called "Super Tuesday II". That big time Texas win combined with Hillary's Ohio victory means that neither Clinton nor Obama will have the delegates to capture the Democratic nomination for president.

Now from across the pond we have this. In the article that runs in the Village Voice, Mamet questions everything from his past faith in government to his worship of John F Kennedy. According to the UK Independent there is one line in the lengthy piece where he dares to compare W to JFK. "Bush got us into Iraq, JFK into Vietnam. Bush stole the election in Florida; Kennedy stole his in Chicago. Bush outed a CIA agent; Kennedy left hundreds of them to die in the surf at the Bay of Pigs. Bush lied about his military service; Kennedy accepted a Pulitzer Prize for a book written by Ted Sorenson. Bush was in bed with the Saudis, Kennedy with the Mafia."
