By Brenda Jones

Charlie Gibson put on his glasses and tried to lecture Alaska Governor Sarah Palin on the Bush Doctrine. Gibson looked like a pompous college professor as he tried his best. "In what respect, Charlie?" she replied. Do you agree with the "Bush doctrine," Gibson tried in his best, desperate attempt at a gotcha question for the Republican nominee for vice president.

"In what respect, Charlie?" she replied. After Gibson tried to get Palin to answer what she believed the Bush Doctrine was or is today she finally pressed him to explain what he believed the Bush Doctrine means at least for this question.

Gibson was forced to look down his nose at Palin and ask what he apparently want to know, if the US has "a right to make a preemptive strike against another country if we feel that country might strike us."
"Charlie," Palin replied, "if there is legitimate and enough intelligence that tells us that a strike is imminent against American people, we have every right to defend our country. In fact, the president has the obligation, the duty to defend." Gibson's deceptive question was a miss, and his pompous interview likely pushed more voters towards Palin as he showed her zero respect and that will not sit well with many women.
