The Town-Hall debate is in the books and there was no clear winner between Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama. However, a report from Ben Smith of Politico gives the indication that Mitt Romney is the loser. According to the Ben Smith blog on the website (A running conversation about the 2008 political campaign) Claire McCaskill claims that she spit on an earpiece she handed to Mitt Romney.

Are you kidding me? In what sounds like a true Washington insider move the junior senator from Missouri is quoted by Politico as saying to Mitt Romney as she handed him an earpiece before an appearance on MSNBC, "I spit on this before I put it in." Oh the humanity!


It is a direct quote by the website and from the sounds of the story it was actually the reporter that heard Claire McCaskill make the 'loogie' claim. Can anyone else picture this old hag shoving that earpiece in her mouth? Or spitting on it.
