Poor Mitt Romney. The man that has basically been the political kiss of death has predicted that the former governor of Massachusetts will take the GOP nomination. Affleck who is constantly mentioned for public office for his good looks (or maybe it was his acting in Gigli) then takes a shot at Romney. “He says he doesn’t like abortion and he’s all clean-cut and he looks like a Ken doll,” Affleck said on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher.'

The man that was last predicted to win by Ben, John Kerry, is now as politically irrelevant as any presidentialnominee in history. The Boston Herald notes that Affleck's prediction is based on the thought that the 'GOP will end up with Romney because the ex-gov looks good, has nice hair - and the Republicans really don’t have anyone else. '

"The Mormonism thing is really suspect,” he added, "but they’ll take it at this point. I mean, who else do they have? Crazy (Rudy) Giuliani and (John) McCain who’s completely insane? They don’t have any other options."

He also ripped Dems in an F-Bomb tirade. "These f-bomb people,” he said. “This is the f-bomb problem with that. Democrats live in fear of basically being called cowards,” he said. Affleck surmised that the Democrats were afraid to demand timelines for troop withdrawal from Iraq in the spending bill because the president would slam them while they were away for the Memorial Day weekend.

Wait - What? "While they were on vacation they were afraid of being criticized,” he said. “So . . . they sacrificed their core political beliefs. And they wonder why people call them (bleeping) weak.” No wonder Hollywood is routinely mocked when they comment on politics.
