Reynolds, Smith & Hills Shooting: Jason Rodriguez Caught

Jason Rodriguez has been caught after opening fire at his former place of work, Reynolds, Smith & Hills. According to a report from the Associated press, the "40-year-old engineer who was dismissed from his job two years ago returned to his former workplace in downtown Orlando, Fla., on Friday morning and opened fire, killing one person and shooting five others," authorities said, according to the wire report.

Asked by a reporter outside the police station why he did it, he replied: "Because they left me to rot." The shooting took place on the eighth floor of an office tower in downtown Orlando.

According to the New York Times, "Michael T. Bernos, the spokesman for Reynolds, Smith & Hill, said the company had not heard from Mr. Rodriguez since he was dismissed two years ago."
The paper has more details here. “He was let go for performance reasons,” Mr. Bernos said. “I believe his work just didn’t come up to our standards.”
