Sharron Kay Thornton was blind but can now see. The woman has been cured by an amazing surgery and her vision has improved to 20/70 and doctor's are hopeful it will continue to improve. Lynn Edwards called it "A miracle 'Tooth in Eye Surgery' and then noted that it is "actually it is officially called Modified Osteo-Odonto-Keratoprosthesis surgery."

Dr. Victor Perez, a cornea specialist at Bascom Palmer and professor of ophthalmology at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine is the leader of the team that performed what many would consider a medical miracle.


According to AOL News Nine years of blindness almost drove Sharron "Kay" Thornton to suicide. "It was very embarrassing and humiliating for my daughter to take care of me, and it wasn't supposed to be that way. I'm supposed to take care of her," the 60-year-old woman told CNN on Wednesday.
